Our starting point
iaoSew is an independent design brand exploring how traditional Chinese textiles can live again in contemporary everyday life.
We begin with cloth: its texture, its structure, and the traces of human attention it can hold. Then we ask what it might become — a useful object, a familiar companion, a small part of the way we live.
Our interest is not in repeating the past exactly. It is in finding a thoughtful relationship with it, allowing inherited materials and techniques to inform forms that belong in the present.
